Bob Jones Math:
The Bob Jones method of teaching math uses concrete manipulative's to introduce new math concepts. The interactive learning style helps to promote learning with questions along with developing problem-solving skills. Math concepts are reviewed systematically, making learning math fun and enjoyable for the student.
Through the use of Bob Jones Math, students will develop a Christian world-wide as the teacher explains math concepts in the Bible, identifies Christian principles, and points out Christian character traits.
Saxon Phonics & Spelling:
A success oriented program that enables children to develop a solid foundation in phonics in order to become successful readers and spellers. Saxon’s philosophy of incremental development coupled with continual review builds upon prior learning. New learning is presented in small increments which are reviewed daily for the entire year. This method of reinforcement provides children with the practice they need to become fluent readers and spellers by the end of the Kindergarten year.
Handwriting Without Tears:
Good handwriting is one of the foundational skills of language development. It is also a skill that regularly goes on public display and is one of the first observable measures of success in school. Handwriting Without Tears uses a multi-sensory approach to develop and teach handwriting skills so that students can focus on content rather than the mechanics of handwriting. As children gain mastery, their writing becomes more fluid and automatic so they can write with speed and ease.
Biblical Choices Bible:
This is an interactive approach to teaching Biblical principles and concepts to Kindergarten students. Each lesson emphasizes a Bible verse as well as a specific student action which aide in applying the biblical concepts. Using music, drama, crafts, and learning activities, students in Kindergarten learn 4 major concepts about God:
God as our Great Creator
God knows our choices
God as the Perfect Person
Jesus is our Good Example
